Neros Technologies is a Southern California defense manufacturer building low-cost, expendable uncrewed aircraft for military use. It was founded in 2023 by Soren Monroe-Anderson and Olaf Hichwa, who met on the competitive drone racing circuit, and became known for supplying first-person-view attack drones to Ukraine.
The company’s stated strategy is vertical integration: owning the core technologies, integrating components in-house, and building domestic production capacity rather than depending on the Chinese supply chain that underpins most small drone manufacturing.
Its product line covers an FPV platform marketed with autonomous features including terminal guidance and GPS-denied position hold, a counter-UAS interceptor called Bandit aimed at Class 2 and Class 3 threats, and a ground platform. In August 2026 Neros raised a $250 million Series C at a $2.5 billion post-money valuation, co-led by Sequoia Capital and the American Strategic Technology Fund, and has stated a target of producing one million drones a year.
Neros lists offices in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Kyiv and London.
