Elbit Systems
Elbit Systems is an Israeli defence-electronics company listed on Nasdaq and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange as ESLT. It builds uncrewed aircraft, electro-optics, electronic-warfare equipment, munitions, C4I systems and night-vision products. Its customers include Israel’s Ministry of Defense and international military customers. The company reports a diversified portfolio, so its consolidated result is not a dedicated UAS-revenue measure.
Key Products
Hermes 900 / Hermes 450 — fixed-wing UAS families for surveillance and reconnaissance. Their configuration and operational status differ by customer.
Skylark — a small tactical UAS family for reconnaissance missions.
Watchkeeper — a Hermes-derived UAS programme developed through U-TacS in the UK.
Iron Beam — A high-energy laser air defense system developed for Israel’s multi-layer air defense network; Elbit secured a significant laser technology order for the system in 2024.
IMI Systems — Elbit’s munitions subsidiary, producing artillery rounds, rockets, and precision-guided weapons; drove a 29% increase in Elbit’s Land segment revenue in 2024 following IDF ammunition demand post-October 7.
Night-vision systems — Sold primarily through Elbit Systems of America; revenue grew 17% year-over-year in Q3 2024 driven by U.S. military demand.
Business and Funding
For the second quarter of 2026, Elbit reported revenue of $2.287 billion and GAAP net income attributable to shareholders of $173.6 million. Backlog was $32.0 billion at June 30, 2026. Aerospace revenue declined 8% year on year, which the company attributed to project mix and lower European training-and-simulation sales, partly offset by increased UAV sales in Israel. These are reported segment-level explanations, not a stand-alone UAV result.
Why It Matters
Elbit is important because it combines aircraft, payloads, electronics and command systems across a broad defence portfolio. Its uncrewed platforms have operational relevance, but operational claims and political or legal allegations require separate, current primary sourcing and are therefore not carried over here. The useful current indicators are its reported backlog, segment mix, export exposure and the conversion of specific UAS contracts into delivered systems. The company itself notes conflict-related supply-chain and operational risks in its quarterly disclosure.
