EHang is a Guangzhou-based Chinese company that develops autonomous aerial vehicles for passenger transport, logistics and aerial media. Its primary product is the EH216 series, a two-seat multirotor aircraft. The EH216-S is type-certified by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the company is working from certification toward operations.

EHang is publicly traded on Nasdaq under EH, having gone public via IPO in December 2019. For the second quarter ended 30 June 2026, it reported revenue of RMB77.9 million (US$11.5 million), up 203.5 percent from the first quarter but down 31.3 percent year on year. Gross margin was 61.2 percent, while operating loss was RMB131.7 million (US$19.4 million) and net loss was RMB128.3 million (US$18.9 million). Cash, short-term investments and treasury investments totalled RMB929.4 million (US$137.0 million) at quarter-end.

EHang withdrew its previously issued full-year 2026 revenue guidance, citing uncertainty around the timing of passenger-service approvals in China following a more cautious regulatory environment. That withdrawal is a change in management’s outlook, not a conclusion about the long-term commercial prospects of the aircraft.

Why It Matters

EHang has moved beyond a pure certification story, but its revenue shows that sales and operational deployment are not yet a smooth progression. The company says routine trial operations at its Guangzhou and Hefei sites have run safely and stably for 17 months, while its first Guangzhou point-to-point test route is in internal trial operation. Those are company-reported operational milestones, not evidence of broad passenger commercial service. Regulatory caution in China is now the immediate constraint on its timing and revenue outlook.
