Airbound
Airbound is a Bengaluru-based autonomous delivery company founded by chief executive Naman Pushp. It designs and manufactures a blended-wing-body tail-sitter aircraft, the TRT, which takes off vertically without runway or ground infrastructure and then cruises on fixed wings.
The company’s engineering argument is mass ratio. Its published figures put the TRT at roughly 1.5 kilograms of aircraft carrying about 1 kilogram of payload, with a 40 kilometre range and a 60 km/h cruise speed — a payload-to-airframe ratio Airbound says is several times better than the industry norm, and the basis of its claim that drone delivery can reach cost parity with trucking.
Airbound reports more than 13,000 autonomous flights across Bengaluru and Guntur. Its first commercial corridor, operating since January 2026, carries diagnostic samples for the Narayana Health hospital network. In August 2026 the company raised a $37 million Series A led by Greenoaks with participation from DoorDash, following an $8.65 million seed announced in October 2025, and has said it intends to build a three-city network in Andhra Pradesh.
