Teledyne FLIR is a Teledyne Technologies business supplying thermal imaging, sensors, small unmanned systems and CBRN detection equipment to defence, public-safety and industrial customers. FLIR Systems became part of Teledyne in 2021. Teledyne trades on the NYSE as TDY; it does not report Teledyne FLIR Defence as a separate public revenue segment.

Business and Funding

For the second quarter of 2026, Teledyne reported net sales of $1.663 billion, net income attributable to Teledyne of $251.7 million and cash from operations of $315.2 million. These are Teledyne consolidated figures, not FLIR-only financials. Management raised its full-year earnings outlook; that outlook is guidance.

Why It Matters

Teledyne FLIR matters because sensors and thermal cores are fundamental to uncrewed reconnaissance, navigation and targeting. The division spans components and complete systems, so a single drone award is not an adequate proxy for the parent company’s performance.
