Speedbird Aero and Moya Aero have signed a nonbinding MoU to explore combining Moya’s large-capacity tilt-body eVTOL with Speedbird’s certified BVLOS drone logistics network — a pairing that would let a single operator offer everything from small parcel drones up to heavy eVTOL freight on one platform.
The agreement is exploratory. Both companies retain full independence, and no commercial terms or integration timelines were disclosed.
The focus areas are interoperability between aircraft and command-and-control systems, operational overlap in drone logistics, joint grant and public funding applications, and coordinated market entry. Initial priority is the Americas, with Europe and Asia listed as optional future scope.
Speedbird operates certified drone logistics in Brazil and has built a software stack for BVLOS fleet management. Moya Aero makes a tilt-body eVTOL designed for higher-capacity cargo missions that smaller last-mile drones can’t serve. The logic of the pairing is tiered logistics — Speedbird’s existing operations and software handling the short-range, lighter work while Moya’s aircraft handles longer routes or heavier payloads within the same managed airspace environment.
MoUs at this stage carry limited weight. The real test is whether the companies find enough technical and commercial overlap during evaluation to move toward a formal integration agreement. That work is just beginning.
