UVify
UVify is a Seoul-based drone company that built its business on autonomous drone swarm light shows, claiming the top global market position in that category. Productions include shows for Netflix, G-Dragon, BLACKPINK, and the Guinness World Record-holding Gwangalli M Drone Light Show. The company holds the only Korean seat on the board of the Dronecode Foundation, which governs PX4 - the open-source drone operating system running on a significant share of commercial and defense platforms globally.

UVify is private. In late February 2026 it raised $41.7 million, or 60 billion Korean won, from CRIT Ventures and NXC, the holding company behind the games company Nexon. It was reported as the largest single investment ever made in a Korean drone company, and it came with an explicit mandate to expand from entertainment into defense.
In June 2026 Naver took an equity stake and signed a strategic partnership with UVify, covering both civilian and defense work, as part of the Korean internet company’s push into defense AI. Revenue is not disclosed.
Why It Matters
UVify’s entertainment swarm technology is directly transferable to military applications - precise autonomous coordination, GPS-denied operation, and real-time formation management at scale are requirements in both domains. Its PX4 governance role gives it influence over the open-source autonomy stack used across much of the industry. The NXC investment signals Korean private capital entering defense drone autonomy through a commercial technology foundation rather than a traditional defense contractor path.
