Liteye Systems

Liteye Systems is a US counter-UAS company headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, producing integrated drone detection and defeat systems for military installations, borders, and critical infrastructure. The company is the US integrator and distributor for the Anti-UAV Defence System - known as AUDS - developed in partnership with UK firms Blighter Surveillance Systems, Chess Dynamics, and Enterprise Control Systems. Liteye also develops its own C-UAS products and command and control software.

Key Products

AUDS: A layered counter-drone system combining Blighter’s electronic scanning radar for detection, Chess Dynamics’ electro-optical and infrared cameras for tracking and classification, and a directional RF inhibitor for defeat. AUDS can detect targets at ranges up to 10 kilometers and has been deployed by the US Army, US Air Force, and allied militaries.

NINJA C-UAS: Liteye’s own counter-drone system designed for rapid deployment and mobile operations, targeting forward operating bases and expeditionary environments.

Business and Contracts

Liteye is private and does not disclose financial details. It works almost entirely with US government customers.

In March 2026 the US Army’s Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office selected a partnership between Liteye and SAIC to provide counter-UAS hardware and services. That work is structured as counter-UAS as a service, meaning the contractor owns and maintains the equipment and the Army pays to use it rather than buying it outright. In June 2026 Liteye received an $18 million follow-on contract from the US Air Force for containerised C-AUDS systems.

The company has also teamed with Red Six Solutions on threat testing, and has previously integrated with larger primes’ effectors to extend its layered defence offering.

Why It Matters

Liteye’s position as the US integrator for AUDS gives it access to a system with an unusually long operational track record - AUDS has been deployed by the US military since 2016, predating most of the current counter-UAS market. Its involvement in Joint C-UAS Office evaluation programs places it inside the procurement pipeline that feeds the US military’s layered drone defense architecture. The combination of a proven legacy system and newer mobile products covers both fixed-site and expeditionary requirements.
