General Cherry
General Cherry is a Ukrainian drone manufacturer specializing in FPV and interceptor unmanned aircraft used to neutralize incoming Russian drones over Ukrainian territory. The company has signed a production agreement with Wilcox Industries to manufacture interceptor UAVs at Wilcox’s facilities in New Hampshire, moving part of its production inside a NATO-allied industrial base with access to NDAA-compliant components.

Business and the US Joint Venture
General Cherry is private, was founded in September 2023, and operates within Ukraine’s defence industrial ecosystem. Funding and revenue are not disclosed.
In late March 2026 it announced a joint venture with Wilcox Industries to produce FPV and interceptor drones at Wilcox’s facility in Newington, New Hampshire, with the General Cherry team carrying out development on site. The venture is explicitly aimed at Pentagon orders and the US market.
It is not yet operating. As announced, the joint venture was in an approval phase: the parties must obtain support from the President of Ukraine and the relevant Ukrainian government institutions before it can be formally registered, and the production start date depends on those negotiations. This is an announced intention, not a running production line.
Why It Matters
Interceptor drones are the category Western militaries are least prepared for and most urgently need, because the economics of shooting down cheap one-way attack drones with expensive missiles do not work. General Cherry builds interceptors that have been used against Shahed-class drones in the only place where that fight happens at scale, which is a form of validation no test range provides.
The US venture is the part to watch, and to be sceptical about. Producing in New Hampshire would place combat-proven interceptor technology inside the NDAA-compliant supply chain and within reach of Pentagon procurement. But the venture requires Ukrainian government approval, has no start date, and a company producing at volume in wartime Ukraine has to prove it can transfer that to a US facility with different suppliers, labour and certification requirements.
